Susan was asked to join the board of Flat Rock Brook in 2014 and has served as a Trustee since then, taking over as the Board Secretary in 2018.
Our new Presidents looks forward to celebrating Flat Rock Brook’s past 50 years as well as helping with big plans for the future. “I'm excited to be at the helm of Flat Rock Brook during its 50th Anniversary, and would like to encourage our surrounding community to become involved in celebrating this milestone. I also look forward to helping our Executive Director and Board on our major capital projects, including the Jones Road Restoration and Boardwalk improvements, which will greatly enhance our visitors' experience at Flat Rock Brook. I'm honored to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of land conservation and environmental education that led our founders to create this wonderful preserve for the enjoyment of all.”
Susan has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Tufts University, and a Master of Arts from NYU in English Education. She is also accomplished in Karate and has earned her Fourth Degree Black Belt.
