Welcome Back to Flat Rock Brook
Flat Rock Brook is very pleased to announce the reopening of our preserve. We know that our forest is a refuge for the community. We look forward to providing you the opportunity to once again spend time on our trails enjoying the mental and physical benefits that nature provides. We do have some restrictions that remain in place at this time and we ask that you follow the below rules and guidelines to protect the health and safety of all guests.
We are using CDC issued guidance for parks and recreational facilities in our plan for reopening. Please familiarize yourself with the following before making your visit:
All visitors are required to maintain Social Distancing (6 foot minimum). The wearing of masks is recommended.
· Trails open from dawn until dusk.
· All park entrances are now open.
· Bathroom facilities are open every day at Jones Road and are open at the Nature Center on weekends only.
· Hand sanitizer stations are located on the deer exclosure gates. Please use them to keep your hands clean.
· No littering, especially potentially hazardous PPE items. There are trash cans located near the exit.
Dogs are not allowed in the park.
With your help, we can continue to relax the restrictions on visits to our preserve and maintain a healthy and stress free visit for everyone. But, it is essential that we have your cooperation to make reopening a success. We have missed our visitors and really look forward to seeing you back on our trails. Welcome home to Flat Rock Brook.
Sincerely,
Stephen Wiessner
