Gardeners

Gardeners Compressed11The gardens at Flat Rock Brook were constructed by our volunteer gardeners. It is an ongoing project and everyone is welcome to join this group  regardless of experience. Volunteer gardeners work in Flat Rock’s Butterfly and Native Habitat Gardens on upkeep, maintenance and employing innovative ideas for the care of our gardens. We use integrated pest management gardening techniques and plant natives to attract beneficial insects and other wildlife.  Our gardeners attend seminars, field trips and hold meetings to discuss happenings in the gardens.

The gardeners meet on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. from April through October and concentrate their efforts on garden care from spring through fall. If you would like to become a Flat Rock Brook Gardener, please complete the volunteer form below.
